To the Future, From the Past

Dear Baby ‘G’,

I wasn’t really sure how to start writing this post.  Who knows what will become of this in the end…

I am writing this while sitting on Delta Airlines flight DL5766, en route from Vancouver to Salt Lake city – my final destination today is Nashville, TN.

This is the third trip I have been on this year since your mother and I found that she was pregnant – something that has obviously changed our lives immensely, and will continue to do so in ways I can only imagine today.

I thought I would share a few things with you, for who knows if I will ever remember to share these things with you are you grow up.

We have chosen names for you (or we at least now have a final list)!  I know that may not seam like a big deal to you at the time you are reading this, but I hope the significance of us doing so it is something that you come to understand with time.

Because we chose not to find our what gender you are, we don’t know if we will have son or a daughter in a couple months.  As such, we have finalized our decision on two choices each for boy & girl names, and I look forward to the day that I hold you for the first time and can share the moment with your mother when we say your name to each other for the very first time.

I look forward to meeting you for the first time like I cannot express.

Sincerely,

Your Father.
