I took a call from someone I worked with years ago today.
Their web hosting provider’s primary server had crashed. And, their backup server crashed. AND, there were no other backups anywhere.
The provider in question, has gone out of business – that is never something you wish to see happen.
I wish for all the time I have impressed upon individuals the importance of backups over the years, that the percentage of users who did make use of reliable solutions was higher than it is.
